Hello, thanks for being here! My name is JJ, and I’ve been a photographer since earning my degree in Photography from in 2006. I actually skipped my graduation ceremony because I got married that same day!
My family of 5 currently lives in St. Louis, MO, where we are doing our best to raise conscientious and empathetic humans. I consider myself an ally and am always working to do better, grow, & learn. I love hiking local trails, exploring new local restaurants and museums with friends, and doing karaoke (terribly).
Incorporating a love for multiple mediums of art into my photography pushed me forwards. Leaning into color theory, design, and multiple disciplines of art helps drive my creative practice. I love going to art museums, seeing how other artists work, and gaining inspiration from all forms of art.
For over 20 years now, I’ve worked with brands, nonprofits, museums, large companies, families, and universities to document people, events, and products. My outgoing personality, creativity, and prompt customer service has helped me build the loveliest of client base in St. Louis. And though many photographers pick one niche to photograph, I love all the variety! Meeting and working with new folks and new businesses brings me so much JOY, but the clients who return year after year fill my heart with gratitude.

My style of photography has always been about capturing purposeful moments and the silly in-betweens. I edit in a bright, colorful, and true-to life palette, with care to not add trendy filters that will outdate quickly.
